NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL COURSE                   ACADEMY PROFESSIONAL COURSE

The National Professional training programme introduces the successful Spanish Teaching Methods and has been designed and developed to provide a wide range of training materials to provide the coach with a broad yet detailed knowledge of coaching at this level. It is a combination of face to face training, webinars and online learning giving a blended approach to training.

Using the new concept of tetafime considered integral in coaching, consisting of the 4 pillars of learning which have been united, intertwined and interconnected so that any individual can achieve their Ideal Performance State. This will give you the perfect foundation to develop a player and also your coaching career.
Tennis continues to reach new levels of performance and as such the teaching of tennis must not only keep in touch but stay ahead of the game. The Academy course will ensure that coaches are shown the latest techniques and developments taking place in the tennis world with specific reference and detailed information from the leading Spanish Academies. The course is designed for coaches who are currently working with or aiming to work with advanced players.The course is a mixture of oncourt and online learning modules and gives the basis for a development framework and planning of programmes and sessions for training at this level. As well as a global and specific idea of the philosophy and pedagogy of training. 

ON COURT LEARNING

The programme will show a range of footwork drills and patterns to help establish the a sound fundamental understanding of the physical base required to building the foundations for a strong technical development
TECHNICAL
It is essential that all players develop a sound technique from an early age. We will look at the technical requirements and how to teach sound technique for 20 different strokes from the basic groundstrokes and volleys to drop shots and topspin lobs.
TACTICAL
Here we will help coaches understand how and when to develop the tactical abilities of their players. It will help coaches develop matchplay simulation programmes and help train their players to compete.
MENTAL
The mental element of the coaching methods is the final pillar which helps the player achieve their Ideal Performance State. The course will cover a set of rituals, routines and set programmes for controlling and effectively managing their mental state.
