Streetennis is an innovative teaching programme based on introducing children to tennis. It is an easy, economical and fun way to give children the experience of tennis and fuel their interest to want to learn more. Streetennisis designed to
introduce and teach tennis to the Under 9’s. It combines technical teaching
with movement and co-ordination in a dynamic and fun environment. Streetennisis the Spanish
equivalent to mini-tennis.
The course is very practical and gives the basis for a development framework and planning of programmes and sessions for training children at this level.
DETAILS
The course will explain the image of Streetennis and introduce the Pedagogy and Philosophy of the Streetennis trainer. It will cover the technical training and teaching elements and progressions for the introductory strokes for children with an emphasis on positioning, balance and the development of co-ordination skills.
The course will also explain the advantages of teaching in groups both on a practical, fun and enjoyment level as well as various motivation techniques required for working with small children.
Detailed information on the organisation of a programme for Streetennis and how to implement and promote the programme will also be covered in practical discussions on and off court including the introduction to Streetennis Roadshows.
