POWER TENNIS 
Power Tennis. Developing a weapon is key for any player in today’s combative game of tennis. This course will show you how to develop power in all the key strokes including the serve and groundstrokes. It will introduce you to and help you understand the importance of the kinetic chain, ground reaction force and how to maximise the 3 power elements; rotational, linear and vertical, to ensure a technically sound and proficient stroke. We will also look at how to help the player progress through these technical changes to be able to reach their power potential.
 
DEVELOPING AGILITY, BALANCE AND CO-ORDINATION FOR JUNIORS 
At the end of the course you will be able to introduce a range of practical skills to help develop the agility, balance and co-ordination for junior players. Coaches will learn how to develop a range of exercises for agility, balance and co-ordination and how to work with players of different ages. It will also help coaches develop programmes for on and off-court work and how to integrate the system into the coaches’ normal coaching programme. This will add to your range of teaching skills both on and off court and will help to develop more all-round athletes.
 
SPANISH MINI-TENNIS 
At the end of the course you will know how to teach tennis skills to young children using the proven successful Spanish methods. You will appreciate how the highly interactive Streetennis programme develops all elements of movement, coordination and balance and how to introduce the technical elements of the key strokes. You will also understand how the programme can be adapted to work in schools, clubs and open areas which do not have a court or for promotional purposes and exhibitions. This is a great programme for schools and large groups as it does not require access to a court
 
STREETENNIS 
At the end of the course you will know how to teach tennis skills to young children using the proven successful Spanish methods. You will be shown how to create games, exercises, drills and circuits to maximise the use of space and time and still to be able to introduce the key skills for each age group. Streetennis can be adapted to work in schools, clubs and open areas which do not have a court or for promotional purposes and exhibitions. This is a great programme for schools and large groups.
 
MARKETING AND SPONSORSHIP 
At the end of the Marketing and Sponsorship course you will understand the background and theories on these two key issues in sport. You will have clear examples of how to market your business and your programmes and to expand your business. You will also understand how to identify potential Sponsors, create Sponsorship Proposals and how to negotiate a Sponsorship deal and have discussed some practical examples of how this has been achieved and how you can develop your own initiatives to attract sponsors.
 
MARK OF A PRO 
The Mark of a Pro course is an introduction to the successful Spanish teaching methods and introduces coaches to the highly acclaimed ‘tetafime’ system which has become an integral part of the Spanish coaching system. Covering the technical, tactical, physical and mental elements of the game we will show how to build and develop a player from the beginning and how these 4 elements are intertwined and interconnected to help a player reach their ideal performance state. At the end of the course you may take the RPT certification test leading to RPT and ICI certification 
 
TETAFIME 
tetafime (technical, tactical, physical and mental) is the RPT concept in coaching combining the 4 pillars of learning which have been combined to develop a complete programme. These key elements are intertwined and connected to help a player reach their ideal performance state. During the course you will be shows how these different elements are introduced and developed into each coaching session for all ages and abilities and how using this methods you are able to develop thousands of lesson plan options which will maximise your teaching and the players development
 
SPANISH DRILLS 1 
The Spanish Drills 1 courses is the first in series of the RPT’s Spanish Drills courses. The RPT has trained coaches in all the leading academies in Spain and has worked with their coaches and tennis Directors to develop a whole range of drills. The course will help you to understand how to develop your own core drills for the technical, tactical, physical and mental sides of the game and how to be able to evolve a drill from its core.
 
SPANISH DRILLS 2 
The Spanish Drills 2 courses is the second in series of the RPT’s Spanish Drills courses. The RPT has trained coaches in all the leading academies in Spain and has worked with their coaches and tennis Directors to develop a whole range of drills. The course will help you to understand how to develop your drills for the technical, tactical, physical and mental sides of the game and the importance of being specific with the task and objective of each drill.
 
SPANISH DRILLS 3 
The Spanish Drills 3 courses is the latest in series of the RPT’s Spanish Drills courses. The RPT has trained coaches in all the leading academies in Spain and has worked with their coaches and tennis Directors to develop a whole range of drills. The course will help you to understand how to develop specific drills for the technical, tactical, physical and mental sides of the game. Attendance on Spanish Drills 1 or Spanish Drills 2 is not required prior to attending Spanish Drills 3
 
TAPING AND STRAPPING FOR SPORTS INJURIES 
Many of you will have seen the players today with the ‘magic’ blue tape on. Now is your chance to learn the principles of taping and strapping for use in sports injury management and be able to offer these services to your players. The one day workshop covers all of the key techniques associated with sports taping. These are essential skills for any coach looking to play an active role in helping players manage their injuries. Coaches will be able to successfully tape and strap musculoskeletal structures using elasticated and non-elasticated tape, thus preventing injury during sport.
 
IDENTIFYING AND CORRECTING ERRORS 
The course will show you how to identify technical errors in groundstrokes, volleys and serves and then how to use effective corrective techniques. We will introduce a whole series of physical corrections which will be supported by the technical knowledge and attention to detail which supports the physical corrections. You will also be encouraged to create your own range of corrective techniques and have the opportunity to share these ideas with the other coaches on the course to give you a complete library of corrections
 
SPANISH TEACHING PROGRESSIONS 
The Spanish teaching progressions and an integral part of the overall Spanish teaching method which have proven to be so successful over the years. These progressions were developed by the RPT and are the basis of the whole technical teaching methodology for the key strokes. The course will cover the simple teaching progressions for the strokes supported by the detailed technical information that a coach needs to be able to help to develop fundamentally technically sound strokes.
 
ADVANCED TEACHING PROGRESSIONS 
The Spanish teaching progressions and an integral part of the overall Spanish teaching method which have proven to be so successful over the years. The course will cover the simple teaching progressions for the strokes supported by the detailed technical information that a coach needs to be able to help to develop topspin and slice groundstrokes slice and topspin serves, drops shots, topspin lobs, overhead smash and half-volleys. It will also show a series of games and exercises developed to practice these shots
 
VIDEO ANALYSIS 
Video analysis is a key part in any successful coaching programme. The course will take you through the whole process of developing a video analysis option into your programme. We will cover recording options, how, when and where to record, how to upload your videos to your computer, download free analysis software and how to use the software to be able to analyse your strokes. We will also look at how to identify the technical elements within each of the key strokes using the software and how you can then use these benchmarks in your own technical analysis
 
SINGLES TACTICS 
A systematic programme has been introduced to help you teach singles tactics through a progressive series of drills, exercises and game play situations. The programme makes it easy to coach and easy to learn the key tactics required in singles match play and creates many variations for you to be able to expand and develop further coaching tools. One of the key elements of the programme is to help the players learn to think and plan and to learn how to become tactically aware
 
DYNAMIC DOUBLES 
The course will cover tactics for different ages and abilities, games and drills for tactical applications, match play simulation and doubles formations. It will cover 2 up, 2 back, 1 up 1 back and then put into play a series of positional progressions and strategies which will make your players become more effective doubles players. The course does not look at the technical side of the players but how to get to move, think and play as a team to maximise their individual abilities. Each of the elements are covered through drills and practical applications.
 
PHYSIOLOGY AND NUTRITION 
The Physiology and Nutrition course covers basic anatomy and physiology, the respiratory system, skeletal system, key muscles and functions, growth patterns and implications and how this may affect the growth and development of a tennis player. The course also covers the key elements of nutrition, what to eat and when to eat in practice, pre-competition and post-competition and in match-play. Although scientifically based the course is practical and has been developed to be tennis specific
 
FITNESS AND FOOTWORK 
The fitness and footwork course covers the principles of training, components of exercise, training phases, fitness testing, designing and developing a programme, specific on court training and footwork drills. You will also understand how to include a mixture of phases; cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, torso and core stability into your programmes and how to manage and monitor a players’ fitness progression by using a simple yet efficient and effective testing programme which can be used on or off court.
 
FITNESS TESTING 
The Fitness Testing course help coaches understand the importance of establish testing protocols and how to adhere to these protocols. The course will show how to understand the importance of bench marking and how to establish benchmarks for your players and then how to analyse the test results to be able to assess a players levels of fitness. Using a simple yet efficient and effective testing programme which can be used on or off court we will also show you how to design and develop fitness programmes for different ages and abilities.
 
PERIODISATION AND GOAL SETTING 
Periodisation is critical in helping a player peak for performance and is key in helping coaches develop their performance players. The course introduces the importance of setting periodisation plans and the methods of setting plans for players of different ages and abilities. It explains the micro and macro cycles involved in the programme and how to adapt the intensity and volume of training. Although the course has a scientific base it is a very practical and gives coaches the tools to be able to design periodisation programmes for their own players.
 
MATCH CHARTING AND ANALYSIS 
The Match Charting and Analysis course will take you through the process of how to develop a match charting system for your own personal use and how you will be able to use this to help develop the training programmes for your players. It will show to how physically chart a game and then how to develop the statistics for one or more players from the same match. Using this data we will then investigate the importance of clear and accurate analysis to be able to start to develop a players’ profile
 
PATTERNS OF PLAY 
The Patterns of Play course will look at how players develop a style of play and how they learn to use these styles to win points matches. It will show how to work with players to be able to assess and analyse their own personal strengths and weakness and be able to develop patters around these strokes. It will also show how to work with players to help them analyse other players to be able to understand their opponents patters and to develop their own tactics and strategies to maximise their opportunity to win the match
 
SPECIALITY SHOTS 
The Speciality Shots course will cover a range of teaching techniques, practices, games and drills to be able to teach and develop the speciality shots which are rarely used in match play, rarely taught in coaching sessions but can be the difference between winning and losing. From drive-volleys and drop volleys to acute angle passing shots, emergency and recovery shots to the last resort winner. This course will cover a whole range of shots required to compete at the highest level
 
TACTICAL CONDITIONED GAMES 
The Tactical Conditioned Games course looks at a whole series of games and exercises which can be used to help players understand the tactical requirements of playing in the different match play situations. It will help coaches understand how to use the blocking technique to help players appreciate their strengths and weaknesses and also how to start identifying their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses. From this the coach can work with the player to create a whole range of drills and exercises to develop their tactical awareness and their tactical application
 
COMMUNITY COACH 
The main objectives are to train candidates in how to assist a fully qualified coach. On successful completion of the course coaches should be the basics of how to teach the key strokes, game formats and variations of the sport You will understand how to introduce tennis to people of all ages and ability and put your skills into practice on court. You will learn effective communication and organisation skills , the attributes and responsibilities of a practice hitter and how to structure of a practice hitting session
 
WORLD TOUR 
The World Tour Course is a specific course for coaches that wish to understand the complete RPT programme of professional training at the different levels. The curriculum is made up of four basic levels, with specialisation courses including: Streetennis, Charlytennis and Adultennis moving through to Advanced Coaching, Competition Coaching and Managing a Tennis Business and Facility. At the end of the course you could achieve the highest qualification offered by the RPT – Tennis Director plus the Elite Professional Grade from the USPTA. You will also receive certification from the International Coaches Institute, Professional Tennis Coaches Association and the Estess University
 
ACADEMY COACH COURSE 
The Academy Coaches Course shows coaches how to teach all the key elements of the more advanced strokes and how to put them together into a lesson and programme format. Using the RPT’s unique and exclusive ‘tetafime’ system we will show you how to integrate the technical, tactical, physical and mental skills into each and every lesson so as to help your players reach the ideal performance state. At the end of the course you will have the option of taking the RPT Certification test leading to the European Professional qualification
