The RPT offers an alternative route to an LTA Licence
On completion of the Mark of a Pro and Mark of a Pro Plus courses the associated tests and workbook you may apply to the LTA for an LTA Licence.
There is no need to attend any other tennis coaching courses or training to be able to qualify for this programme with the LTA.
LTA Licensing Scheme
The LTA Coach Licensing Scheme (CLS) is a continuous professional development programme for qualified tennis coaches. The purpose of the CLS is to help coaches develop professionally and personally, whilst giving the tennis playing public and clubs an assurance of a quality coach.
The CLS Aims to:
- Set a ‘kitemark’ for British coaches in terms of specific requirements for a coach.
- Maintain and develop the standard of coaches at all levels.
- Help a tennis coach’s professional and personal development through a variety of training opportunities
Applying for an LTA Licence
To apply for an LTA Licence you will need to...
- be a minimum of 18 years old
- obtain a recognised and valid First Aid Certificate
- have 15 training credits obtained in the twelve months prior to application
- have two satisfactory references and a CRB Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
Do you already have an LTA Coach Licence?
If you already have an LTA Coach Licence then you will know all about the need to obtain coaching training credits. The RPT provides Pro Development courses for RPTclub members and non-members alike.
